Stop and Go

Shrouded in a shams of disrepute
Effervescent arrogance reeks, the fumes rise
Air intake imploded sick sifted wretch consisted
Zero pressure
Steeped in stillborn confidence
Disguised as relaxed leisure, open your eyes
Above ground, cacophony of sound
Too deaf too dumb, too loud to turn around now
Immediate shuffle, turns to instantaneous bustle
Distracted and forced into the next phase
Relapsed to no contact faded in blazing haze
Stepped in line but pushed behind
Just in time to stack a dime
Corralled crowded, packed in disregarded
Oh but one pressing thought purchased exit sought
What did He say?
Conscious crack away subcutaneous reigns
Clasping a promise compounded from yesterday
Crash close remorse, align reinstated vision
Quit pursuit of quintessential merriment
Stop long enough to listen
Reach high for granted taciturn peace
Unleash the gate
Pounded under cascades of eternity's lesson
Infused uncommon strength to treck another direction
