A short, Long visit!
We had a great time with the Long family as they made their way through Nebraska as part of their annual road tour featuring Layel, the band. They arrived late Friday night, on the 16th. Sarah was ready for the family of 12 as she had a delicious pancake and egg breakfast prepared.
While Maci and all the younger kids ran off some hidden energy, Layel, Lasha, Stefan, Silas, Laura, Steve, Sarah and I caught up on old times. We rarely have the priviledge of housing an actual band, so we had Stefan serenade us for a little while before I conked out. Sarah, Lasha and Layel stayed up much later than I did.
Saturday afternoon, the Longs headed to their next venue to set up equipment for their performance the next day. Layel, the band, played for the congregation of Trinity Chapel, a few miles south of Lincoln on Sunday.
It was interesting having seven times the normal amount of people at our place! Nonetheless, we'll never forget the awesome time we shared with one of the coolest families on the planet. I was so amazed at how each of the kids had such unique and individual personality. Best of all, we were blessed by Steve and Laura's fervor in setting ministry as the foundation in the lives of their 10 kids.
Steve and Laura, Layel, Lasha, Stefan, Silas, Simeon, Samuel, Lasea, Lilia, Lydia and Seth...we love you guys! And thank you for visiting!!!

Grandma Pam and Maci

Grandma Pam, Jeff and Rebekah came to visit us from Washington recently. We miss them tons and tons! In this picture we're actually at Ivonna Cone, one of Lincoln's greatest places for homemade icecream. As soon as Maci walks in she immediately goes to this corner of the shop because there are tons of toys to play with!

Hitomi's Visit

We met Hitomi (hee-toe-mee) Takenaka through an International Student Community program at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Unfortunately, we were only able to build relationship for less than a month because of my new job in Lincoln. Hitomi was able to stay with us this weekend before she returned to Gifu, Japan for the Summer. It was great seeing her again!
