Busy Summer!
Due to the busyness of the summer, I haven't posted in a while. Here's a quick recap of the last month or so...
We had our bestest buds Jolena, Avery, Peyton and Hunter come visit us earlier this month. Jolena's husband, Heath, was away training AGAIN, fortunately we were able to catch the rest of the family on their way down to Texas. We really have missed these guys a ton. It seems like whenever we get into deep conversations with our new friends here in Nebraska, we always end up reminiscing about the Adams somehow.
Since Sarah's home full time now, she spent a little more time with everyone than I did; however, we were able to take in some of Lincoln's finer activities nonetheless. Sarah's fuel for life can be found at one of our local Ice Cream Shops, Ivonnacone! The Adams's trip would not have been a success, according to Sarah, if we hadn't gone there at least 16 times. We only managed to get there once though.
Funny Story: While we devoured our icecream, little Hunter managed to fling some icecream on an unassuming lady right next to our table. I first noticed the poor lady looking around in confusion while her husband dabbed at her suit jacket, a moment later I put two and two together. Shake, shake, shake went Hunter's spoon and the lady got nailed! Jolena felt horrible, but what can you do?
We also had a chance to visit the Folsom Zoo. It wasn't all that spectacular but it was amusing to take a leisurely stroll throughout the facility, glance at the poor caged animals and watch the kids feed crispy dead leaves to one of the Emu.
Funny Story: Our tour through the zoo was coming to a close and I noticed, out of the corner of my eye, little Peyton traipsing through some exotic and rare jungle flowers. At first she was admiring and smelling each one and them, before I could say a word...PLUCK!!! No PEYTON!!!! Jolena felt horrible, but what can you do?
So many crazy things happened during their trip, but you'll have to call us to get the full story. From Jolena's luggage topper blowing off the van and bouncing down the interstate, to Avery dropping his pants right outside the van at a rest stop to relieve himself even though the bathroom was yards away, to us greeting the van after their long trip to Nebraska and being suprised to find all three kids piling out in their underpants!!! hahahahahaha!!!!
Thanks for the visit you guys...our home is open when you head north to Montana again!
