Sarah's Accident

1) I am pleased to report that Sarah and the other driver sustained no injuries.

2) The wreck was not Sarah's fault!

Today was probably the best day for this to take place. I just happened to take the day off, Maci and I were at home when the call came in at approximately 11:27 am. I explained to Maci that we had to go see Mommy because she had been in an accident and her immediate response was, "Let's pray for her." So we did.

Sarah was Westbound on 'O' street in the far right lane. The assailant was Eastbound and in the process of making a left turn heading North.

Sarah said, "The lady turned right in front of me, I hardly had time to react." Sarah tried to swerve to miss the woman, but was unable to avoid collision.

The police officer on the scene gave us the other driver's response, "What should I have done? I don't understand why this is my fault."

We are unable to release the perpetrator's name until the rest of her family is contacted :)

Sarah said, "She's an old lady and I feel sorry for her, but thank God she has insurance!"

We'll keep you posted on the news as it continues to unfold.

Wow those are quite the pictures!! Thank the Lord that Sarah is alright and didn't sustain any injuries....it seems like I am not the only one that has had problems this week...I pray that this does not cause your family any extra stress and that you are able to trust God that all of the car and insuranse details will work out! Plus, remember that anything we experience is an opportunity for growth..and who doesn't like growth when it takes us closer to who God wants us to be!! I love you guys!!

Yeah, we'd like to take a nap and forget about the day, but of course we have phone calls to answer from claims people, insurance agents and anyone else that needs info.

It's really turned out to be pretty painless (?) overall. We went in this afternoon to check on the baby and she is perfect!

Thanks for your concern. We love you!

I am glad to here that the little baby is alright as well! Things like that can be so disrupting, satan just loves to steal our peace (I have experienced quite a bit of that lately) but I am so glad that you are continuing to place your trust in Him and resting in the safey of His arms! I love you guys!!

You know, I can honestly say that I felt peace and just a security that everything was fine as the airbags were being blown in my face! (man, those things stink!) Crazy...but true. God's angels were totally at work. His peace is so good.
Insurance contacts etc. have been great and it's really not been too much of a hassle. God really takes care of His kids. I'm driving a rented (insurance covered) KIA Sonata for now...
We'll keep ya'll posted.
