The Journey, Part 8

We're moving through the clouds and we can finally see the lights on the runway. The girls and I will finally be in our apartment at the end of October.

It's now been three weeks since I started working at Alltel and the learning curve has been at a 90 degree angle since day one. All things considered, it's clear that God has been all over this job opening from the beginning. I feel His presence with me while I work. I'm learning the job quickly and I've already begun producing some significant sales numbers even though I'm brand new!

Seeing my positive attitude, my co-workers have readily communicated, "Just wait Walt, give it a month, you'll begin to hate the customers just like we do!" I understand where they're coming from, BUT I think the honeymoon period ended when I graduated from college! I've been introduced into the real world of work and there is no turning back...I'm going to like my job one month from now and well into next year...we'll talk about it next September I suppose ;)

If you haven't had the chance to read Joel Osteen's book, Your Best Life Now, I suggest you check it out. I read half way through it and listened to the whole thing on CD. Pastor Joel's keys help in processing through challenges and teaches you how to stay positive in the midst of the daily grind.

Well everyone, you were right, it looks like we're going to make it after all. Thanks!

Yessir, John Maxwell has written some classics for sure. That reminds me, I've also been getting into C.S. Lewis lately. I'm in the middle of the Screwtape Letters...in fact I'm going to go read right now!
